You would do this pass if you want some cool included activities like a Surf Lesson and Outback Cattle Station and stop at the highlights of coast like Byron Bay, Fraser Island and the Whitsunday Islands for optional activities.
Your choice of directions can depend on the seasons, or what you intend doing after your trip. Some people fly to Cairns then travel south to arrive in Sydney for the Christmas celebrations. Or start in Sydney in winter and follow the sun northwards into the wonderful tropical winter.
