Almost anyone from 14 years and over can skydive. It’s a popular sport for both holiday makers and locals. Tandem skydiving is the easiest way to give skydiving a go, and no experience is necessary! Once it’s your turn we take you through the process and explain what you have to do - it only takes a few minutes. Then we get you all geared up with your harness, and it’s off to the airport! After a scenic flight for around 20 minutes whilst you head all the way up to 14,000ft, it’s time for your skydive! It’s that simple! You then get to experience what it’s like to fall from up to 14,000ft at around 200 kph, while safely attached to your tandem master in your harness. Experience up to a full minute of freefall before your tandem master opens the parachute! Then it’s time to relax and enjoy the spectacular views as you fly under canopy for around 5 minutes before landing safely at our drop zone. For a lasting souvenir of your experience, we can even film your jump for you, so you can prove to everyone back home that you really did jump out of a plane! Choose from photos or a DVD, or splash out and get both! You even have the option to have an extra camera person film you and your instructor (this must be pre-booked). An excellent way to remember one of the most amazing things you’ll ever experience! After your freefall experience, you'll enjoy 5-6 minutes of spirals and turns under canopy. Weather Forecast: Skydiving is a very weather dependent sport, so you will need to set aside a half day for your skydiving experience (full day if jumping in Mission Beach, but staying in Cairns due to transfer time).
